About Us

After originally starting as Bespoked in Bakewell, the shop moved to Hope, in the heart of the Peak District. In July 2006 the previous owner sold the business to brothers Simon and Matt, who rebranded as "18 Bikes"

We're a small shop, specialising in all things mountain bike, but with a distinct interest in everything bike related. We stock an extensive range of demo bikes, from the likes of Santa Cruz, Genesis, Cotic, Nicolai and Pace- all available to demo on the Peak Districts's roughest and toughest trails!

As well as the large range of bikes and frames, the downstairs of our shop is packed with al the bits and pieces and clothing you could every need for your ride- from everyday essentials like food, lubes, maps and tubes, to top-notch upgrades from the likes of Chris King, Hope, Pace and Thomson!

Clothing, including as much in the ladies as in the mens, is a big thing for us- we all need clothes, and those of us out on bikes need clothes suitable for trail use! Endura, Sombrio and Montane sort us for the riding gear, with howies helping out with lovely merino, and organic tees and jeans.

We knew we wanted to get into the web game, hence this site. We're too small and too busy to list everything we stock in the shop- if there's anything you cant see on here, please dont hesitate to contact us, we'll always try our best to help! We hold accounts with all the major suppliers in the UK, so even non-stock items can be obtained!
